I remember running track in high school. It was a lot of fun, but the rule of track teaches the: get ready, get set, and go mentality. You can’t jump the gun, or you’ll be disqualified.
Why Get ready, get set, and go doesn’t work in life.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. 5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. 6 Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
In life you must have a different mentality than that of track. You have to learn to GO, get ready on the way, and when you get there, everything will be set. You must learn to jump the gun and just go! Most of the time it will never be the right timing (considering your circumstances). Most people are “wind watchers” and they are on the “WAIT” watchers’ diet. They are waiting to see if it’s going to be the perfect time before they plant the seed. Like the scriptures says, go ahead and sow and don’t allow yourself to get idle. There are certain things you just have to step out on. Don’t wait for things to get better, make things better. Overcome the fear of GOING. You can reach your destiny through the principle of GO. READY. SET. - Pastor Doc
